Metric Ton (MT)

1,000 kilograms or 2,204.6 pounds. A metric ton is also called a kilo ton (KT).

Minimum Bill of Lading

On ocean LCL shipments, there is typically a minimum charge of 2 CBM or 2 KT. This means that if the volume and the weight does not exceed the minimum requirement, then the minimum charge will apply.
