Client Document Manager (CDM) is a great tool for collaborating files with your co-workers as well as SBS employees. Having a shared folder allow SBS to post custom reports to your folder and you can retrieve them whenever you'd like. You will know when the file was last modified and the size of the file before you even download it. Managing folders and files can be done with just a click of a button. Uploaded files are scanned for viruses during the upload process for your protection and restricted to certain file types to prevent abuse and potential piracy issues. Need several files or archiving documents? Simply check the files you need and download them all in a single compressed (.zip) file.
Have a user that prefers FTP access? No problem. SBS can configure FTP access to the same folder, so you can even automate FTP file transfers to your own server. If you are interested in SBS's backup policy, please contact us and we will be happy to share our practices.
Early 2008, SBS will be posting protected folders (read-only files) containing Customs Documentation and Entry Packets. With the functionality of CDM, you will be able to archive YOUR documents with only a few mouse clicks.
